From a small beginning in private residential property The Emerson Group with headquarters in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, England and established in 1959, has expanded steadily over the years and is now recognised as one of the UK's foremost private family-owned property companies.

In Portugal, Construcões do Vau, Limitada was formed in 1970 and our first project was the luxury beachfront resort Jardim Do Vau, followed by Oásis Parque, this residential development of 493 units, followed by Lakeside Village, Qunita do Lago. Then in 2002 Boavista Golf Resort, Lagos now a major exclusive residential and recreational resort set in 260 acres amidst an 18 hole golf course was opened. In 1983 Emerson International developed The Charter Club of Marco Beach, Florida jointly with Sir Alfred McAlpine developers which launched The Group's American portfolio in addition to the USA overseas leisure activities Eagle Creek 18 hole golf course in Orlando, opened in 2004.
